Latest Cohort for the Women’s Officials Development Programme Confirmed

10 officials have been chosen for England Boxing’s second Women’s Officials Development Programme for 2023-2024.

The line-up includes a range of practitioners from all over the country and was first formed to support individuals in their development and progression within their respective regions.

The participants of the course are listed below along with their current role/grade, region, desired area of further advancement, and the mentor assigned to each.

Nichola Readman, Grade C Judge (Tyne Tees and Wear). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Chantelle Scott-Trumpet.

Dee Cowey, Grade C Judge/Timekeeper (West Midlands). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Chantelle Scott-Trumpet.

Selena Fox, Grade C Judge/Timekeeper (East Midlands). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Clare Lynch.

Wendy Hurst, Grade C Judge/Timekeeper (West Midlands). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Clare Lynch.

Cynthia Lomaquiz, Grade C Judge/Timekeeper (Home Counties). Aim: to develop as a referee. Mentor: Denise Coe.

Laura Ball, Grade C Judge/Timekeeper (Home Counties). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Denise Coe.

Ramona Moldovan, Grade C Probationary Judge (London Boxing).  Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Lacey Westlake.

Katherine Clifford, Grade C Judge (Southern Counties).  Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Lacey Westlake.

Chanika Okoh, Grade C Probationary Judge (London Boxing). Aim: to develop as a judge. Mentor: Terri Kelly.

Laura Weis, Grade B Probationary Judge/Grade C Referee (London Boxing). Aim: to develop as a referee. Mentor: Terri Kelly.

The initial programme was launched in 2022 after the remarkable success of the Women’s Coach Development Programme, which has since continued to make its mark.
