Plea for coaches to keep DBS qualifications up to date

It has recently come to the notice of England Boxing that there are a significant number of coaches that are practising in clubs whose DBS qualification has expired.

England Boxing relies on robust safeguarding arrangements to ensure the safety of our members and, therefore, DBS arrangements need to be upheld to the highest possible standards.

With this in mind clubs must ensure they have robust policies in place to check that their coaches are keeping up to date with their DBS.

Apart from non-compliance with safeguarding standards, this can also cause upset when coaches are turned away at England Boxing tournaments.
