England Boxing successfully delivered its third ‘Coaching People with Parkinson’s’ regional course on Saturday 21st June at Dagenham ABC, in partnership with Parkinson’s UK.

The course was the third of nine planned, which aims to educate boxing coaches on how to safely and effectively deliver sessions for people living with Parkinson’s, and welcomed 11 enthusiastic coaches from across the London region.

All 11 completed the course, adding to the coaches who qualified earlier this year from the Western Counties and Yorkshire courses.

This groundbreaking initiative is part of England Boxing’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity and supporting people living with neurological conditions. The course itself offers practical guidance on adapting coaching styles, improving balance through circuit/resistance training and understanding the physical and emotional needs of those with Parkinson’s.

With six more courses to be rolled out across England, the programme is gaining momentum and making a huge impact at a community level — not just for coaches, but on the lives of those they’ll go on to support.
