England Boxing Rule Book issued for 2021-22

England Boxing has released its new rule book for the 2021-22 season.

The 89-page document includes rules on all aspects of amateur boxing in England, including elements such as categories and classes, coaching and sparring, officials, weigh-ins, boxer’s dress, scoring, decisions and medicals.

It comes into force from 1st August 2021 and is valid until 31st July 2022.

Guide to the new rules

To help you get to grips with the new rule book, England Boxing has issued a guide that outlines the new rules.

Among the changes are to rules concerning boxing abroad, registrations, club show matching criteria, conduct and behaviour and competition gloves.

Please note that where there is only a part of a rule that has changed, the relevant part is highlighted in yellow.

Permits

All England Boxing events including domestic boxing, regional tournaments, and/or Championships events, For One Night Only or Box Cups must be licensed to ensure the safety of the participants and as a condition of the insurance of the participants.

The England Boxing permits guidelines runs through the requirements that must be satisfied before boxing can take place.
