England Boxing would like to welcome all clubs, members and volunteers to the 2022-23 season, which begins today.

Message from England Boxing’s CEO, Jerome Pels

The 2021-22 season has been a fantastic year, with the number of affiliated clubs rising to 995 and membership to 25,315.

The support provided by regions, clubs, officials, coaches, boxers and volunteers has been immeasurable, especially after the Covid-19 Pandemic, and continues to unite and build our expanding boxing family.

All current members will need to renew their Membership on the Vault to remain active members of England Boxing, and this can be done through The Vault.

We are pleased to confirm that for the 2022-23 season, Membership with England Boxing is remaining at £220 for Clubs, £22 for coaches, officials and volunteers and £11 for carded boxers.

Recreational Boxers will remain free of charge. This is the 10th consecutive year that we have been able to keep membership fees at this low price.

The Vault / Registration

The Vault is England Boxing’s Membership application and information centre. We have been able to continuously develop and improve functionality using regular feedback from our membership over.

Registering with The Vault allows you to renew and pay for your membership securely with the knowledge that you are fully insured to participate in boxing activities upon approval. Please see the user guides which will assist with registration for new and existing members.

Detailed below is some of the progress made this year and further developments that you will see during the 2022-23 season. Should you have any queries regarding the information provided, then please email vaultsupport@englandboxing.org

Once again, we would like to welcome all members to the new season and thank you for continuing to support amateur boxing. We look forward to seeing you in 2022-23.

Regards

Jerome Pels

Membership updates

Defibrillators

From 1 June 2022 it is a requirement that all England Boxing affiliated clubs must have a lifesaving defibrillator either within the club premises or within a five minute there and back walking distance radius from the club. For details of the how to obtain a defibrillator or locate the nearest unit please see the England Boxing Defibrillator page.

Previous combat

All boxers currently have to declare any individual previous combat competition sport by following the declaration process which has been in place since 2016. From 1 June 2022 individual boxers who register themselves via The Vault must declare any previous combat competition (even if it has previously been declared) upon affiliation on The Vault.  You can view the new process by clicking here.

Should a club affiliate existing boxers via the club page then the declaration process can be found by clicking here.

This declaration process has been introduced for the continued safeguarding of our sport and lessen the administration burden on all.

Certificates

From this season, all certificates including affiliation, courses and championship certificates will be sent digital as part of England Boxings new environmental policy.

ID cards

From requests from regional associations and clubs we have introduced two new ID cards; Club Welfare Officer (CWO) and Matchmaker. Should a member be registered as a member currently and also be one of these membership types, you need to arrange with the Regional Registrar for an additional ID card to be processed.

However, should you be only a CWO or Matchmaker you register on The Vault as an Other membership type (free of charge), and send a passport photograph to the Registrar who will process your ID card.

Dispensation

After careful consideration, the Board of England Boxing are pleased to announce that dispensation for events taking place in England for the month of June 2022 can be sought via their regional association secretary.

Boxing Abroad

Should a club be entering the Monkstown Box Cup, please ensure you submit your permission to Box Abroad forms along with your travel insurance to your regional secretary before the England Boxing deadline day (Friday 10th June). Please note, there is no dispensation for Boxing Abroad. You can find the process on how to apply for your trip by clicking here.
