June 30, 2025 | by Chris Boyd
England Performance has selected nine Junior boxers for their upcoming international duel against Scotland in Birmingham on 5th July.
The squad comprises three female boxers and six males, including Bulkington’s Leison Taylor, who will make his England debut in front of family and friends.
Midlands-based Taylor will make the short journey across the M6 to pull on the England vest and is relishing the opportunity: “I’m very proud to have been given the chance to represent my country.
“I’m looking forward to putting on my very first England vest in front of a home crowd, and hopefully this will be the first of many.”
The duel will take place at the Archbishop Challoner Catholic College in Kings Heath, Birmingham, with boxing scheduled to begin at 2 pm. Following the international duel, Small Heath Boxing Club will host their club show, with a ticket to both events priced at £20.
