Harvey Lambert will get England’s AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships 2021 campaign underway tonight (25th October) as he takes on Russian Evgenii Kool at Welterweight.

The St Paul’s boxer (pictured left) is the only one of England’s boxers in action on the opening day after the draw was made yesterday (24th October).

Moss Side Fire’s Conner Tudsbury has been added to the Three Lions’ squad, meaning they now have nine boxers competing.

He will take on Israel’s v Yan Zak at cruiserweight on Wednesday afternoon.

Four boxers – Niall Farrell, Harris Akbar, George Crotty and Delicious Orie – received first round byes, but all but one of them know who they will face in the second preliminary round.

Akbar will wait to see if he faces either Mahmod Said of Somalia or Yurii Zakharieiev of Ukraine on Wednesday afternoon (27th October).
