Join the DiSE programme from September 2023

December 18, 2022 | by Chris Boyd

The Level 3 Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) Programme is now recruiting for its new intake of boxers for September 2023.

The official-endorsed boxing qualification, recognised by England Boxing, supports talented and committed young athletes who have the realistic potential to be high achievers in their sport across six hubs around the country.

With a value of 64 UCAS points, it combines boxing and full-time education so participants have the skills, knowledge and competence to pursue sporting excellence alongside education and a future career.

DiSE offers aspiring boxers aged 16 to 19 the chance to train full-time in boxing while also studying full-time to gain qualifications that will benefit them outside of the ring.

You can study DiSE over two years alongside your school or college’s main study programme and is delivered by highly qualified and experienced England Boxing coaches.

Since the inception of the DiSE course in 2010, thousands of boxers have gone on to compete for their country and become professional boxers, or have gone on to higher education to gain degrees and move into the workplace.

Many now work in the sports sector as personal trainers, gym instructors and also as boxing coaches.

All 100 places were taken on the 2022 programme, while many of the spaces for the 2023 programme have also been taken.

If you would like to be considered for a place, you can act fast by contacting your local academy below and arranging a trial to become a DiSE boxer for 2023.
