Don’t miss out on Kickstart jobs in boxing clubs

The Police Clubs of Great Britain’s partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions’ Kickstart Programme has proved overwhelmingly popular with England Boxing Clubs across the country – and there is still time to reap the benefits.
More than 160 clubs across the country have accessed in excess of £500,000 in funding, which enables England Boxing clubs to create a paid role that is filled by a young, unemployed member.
It is part of £1.65 million that has already been earmarked for sports clubs in England since January 2021, allowing a host of organisations to set on a valued member of staff to help ensure smooth, day-today running.
It is expected the figure among England Boxing clubs alone, in both non-repayable grants and wages, will reach £750,000 by June 2022.
While it is not too late for EB clubs to register for the programme, they must do so by 31st December to be considered.
