Attleborough are November’s Community Club Impact Recognition Programme winners

Attleborough Boxing Club have been named as the winners of England Boxing’s Community Club Impact Recognition Programme for November, in association with STING.

The Eastern Counties club have beaten off the challenge of East London Boxing Academy, Acocks Green and St Pauls’ Boxing Academy to land the monthly award.

Their prize is a STING voucher which can be redeemed to purchase boxing equipment for members to use.

Attleborough was chosen by a vote of England Boxing’s team of Club Support Officers after tdeveloping a new programme called StreetBox, which has helped provide a safe space for local youngsters (read more by clicking here).

“So many clubs do good work day in day out week in, week out,” said the club’s Head Coach Jon Dennis. “We are fortunate to be involved in the best sport in the world allowing all the community to excel

“Winning this is winning for the community we represent… which is everyone.”

England Boxing’s Club Support Officer for the Eastern Counties, Alex Le Guevel, added: “Attleborough Boxing Club have been great servants to their local community for a great number of years now and they fully deserve the recognition of this award.

“StreetBox is a not just innovative, but incredibly impactful – and I sincerely hope that the plans they have in expanding this project to other parts of the country are effective.
