In the heart of Bradford, Ismael Khan is using the discipline of boxing and the strength of mentorship to steer vulnerable young people away from violence – and towards brighter futures.

Through his unwavering commitment to boxing and youth development, he has helped to save countless young people from being pulled into a life of crime. He has instilled discipline, confidence and invaluable life skills upon youngsters through Untouchable Boxing Academy and it’s programme Knivez Down, Glovez Up.

Knivez Down, Glovez Up is a grassroots charity born from Khan’s vision to tackle the root cause of knife crime and offer alternative provisions for young people facing life on the streets. The charity works across schools, youth clubs, community hubs, and football clubs, using every platform available to reach those who might otherwise slip through society’s cracks.

Through impactful workshops that blend real-life stories with practical tools, the charity educates young people on the long-term and life-altering consequences of violence. The sessions are not lectures—they are conversations, interventions, and turning points.

“Over the past two years, our school has had the privilege of working closely with Mr Khan” said a teacher from one of the schools involved.

“He is a dedicated local boxing coach who has played a pivotal role in engaging some of our most hard-to-reach and challenging students. He delivers impactful, high-quality sessions that have made a difference to the behaviour, motivations and self-esteem of our young people.”

Ismael Khan often says, “Your past doesn’t define you, your choices do” – a mantra that lives in every conversation Khan has with a young person.

Khan doesn’t just train boxers; he aims to build champions in life.
