England Boxing can confirm its squad selected for the forthcoming EUBC Youth European Championships 2023 in Yerevan, Armenia, which will be staged from 23rd April to 4th May.

The selections have been ratified following last weekend’s Youth selection camp, held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

In accordance with selection policy, whether or not England Boxing sends a team to any given event may also depend on other legal, regulatory or political factors.

In particular, should an event permit boxers from Russia or Belarus to participate (and/or to participate under their national flags or as neutral participants) it may not be appropriate for England Boxing to send a team to that event. Such decisions are a matter for England Boxing’s discretion.

“I’m delighted with the standard of boxers we have been able to select for our first major championships of the year,” said England Boxing’s Lead National Coach, Amanda Coulson.

“We have a strong group of boxers which includes a lot of previous European and World Championship representatives and medal winners who have all shown the potential to do well in this year Youth European Championships.

“I’m excited to begin working with the team during their rigorous preparation camps starting 10th to 12th March to further enhance their potential to perform on the international stage.”
