NACs finalists to earn GB assessment

Boxers who reach England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2021 Finals Day will automatically earn an assessment with GB Boxing, it can be confirmed.

The historic tournament dating back to 1881 that has been won in the past by Tyson Fury, Nicola Adams, Anthony Joshua and Savannah Marshall reaches the quarter-finals and semi-finals at the Chase Leisure Centre in Cannock.

Those who make it through the weekend will then move onto Finals Day at the University of East London’s SportsDock on 11th December – and be invited to two January GB camps in January in the process, as below.

Stage 1, Camp 1

Dates: Thursday 6th January to Sunday 9th January – Women only.  Thursday 13th January to Sunday 16th January – Men only.

Stage 1, Camp 2

Dates: Thursday 3rd February to Sunday 6th February – Women only.  Thursday 17th February to Sunday 20rd February – Men only.

Both camps will be staged at the GB Boxing Gym, English Institute of Sport, Coleridge Road, Sheffield, S9 5DA.

Boxers successful at stage 1 of the assessment will be invited back in writing to stage 2 at a later date.

Both training camps fall within government guidelines for elite athletes under the government legislation as detailed in the Elite Sport Guidance documentation.
