The 2025 National Amateur Championships will see Swiss Timing Corner Screens being implemented from the Pre Quarter-Final stage onwards for all boxers.

The screens will display the round scores of the boxers in the corners allowing the coaches to know the progress of their athletes throughout the contests as per international competitions.

The employment of scoring screens is a trial in the hope of using them in Open Class competitions throughout 2026 with the view of the boxers becoming familiar with this system as they progress to International Competition. The competitions included in the trial will be

  • 2025 National Amateur Championships 2025: Pre Quarter Finals, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals & Finals (Finals only; spectator screens).
  • 2026 National Youth Championships:  Semi-Finals and Finals
  • 2026  National Junior Championships: Semi-Finals and Finals
  • 2026 National Amateur Championships: Pre Quarter Finals, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals & Finals. (Finals only; spectator screens).

Coaches and boxers are encouraged to prepare as a team to both understand what information this will provide and how best they utilise in support of the boxer.

Coaches and spectators are reminded that the England Boxing officials are committed volunteers who give up their time freely to support the sport in a professional manner, any abuse directed at officials will result in the removal of coaches from the Field of Play and/or the venue and a removal of the screens from Championships, which in turn disadvantage ALL boxers.
