Movember Brings Mental Fitness Support to Boxing Clubs
November 28, 2025 | by Nabillah Akhtar
Earlier this year, we announced that Movember is the Official Mental Fitness Partner of the World Boxing Championships 2025. As part of the partnership, Movember will work with England Boxing and GB Boxing to deliver its ‘Ahead of the Game’ programme to more than 2,700 young people, parents and coaches.
The first session will take place on 3 December 2025 at Salisbury ABC from 5pm, with more workshops planned throughout 2026.
We’re also looking for clubs and coaches in the Merseyside & North West region who would like to host a workshop.
If interested in signing your club up, please email: Mackenzie.Donaldson@englandboxing.org
The Movember ‘Ahead of the Game programme’ equips young athletes, their parents, and coaches with tools to talk about mental health, seek help, and overcome life’s challenges.
With half of all mental health conditions developing by age 14, according to NHS England, early support is crucial. That’s where boxing plays a key role. As a sport that builds discipline, courage and self-belief, it’s also a powerful platform to promote mental fitness.
Speaking on the collaboration, Louise Vidor, Former Club and Community Manager at England Boxing said: “Looking after your mental health is essential in boxing, yet the spotlight is often on developing physical strengths.”
“This partnership is about equipping young boxers with the mental strength to take on challenges both in and out of the ring.”
