Clean Sport Week 2026: The HARMS of SARMs
May 13, 2026 | by Nabillah Akhtar
Be aware! SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) are often promoted online by social media influencers, falsely claiming that they are safer alternatives to anabolic steroids.
As part of Clean Sport Week, UKAD would like to remind athletes that SARMS are prohibited in sport and dangerous to your health. If you are targeted by advertisements for SARMs, claiming to promote short-term gains without the side effects or ‘safer alternatives to anabolic steroids’ – don’t swallow the lies.
Common examples of SARMs include Ostarine (MK-2866), Ligandrol (LGD-4033), Testolone (RAD140) and Andarine (S4).
These substances are unregulated. They are not approved for human consumption.
If you see anyone selling something marked as “for research purposes only” then don’t take the risk!
