Win tickets to the England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2019 Finals Day for your club’s unsung hero
March 25, 2019 | by Matt Halfpenny
You could give your club’s unsung hero the reward they deserve by entering the England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2019 Finals Day social media competition.
Four tickets for the prestigious showpiece event at Manchester Central on Saturday 13th April – plus the chance to meet one of the showpiece occasion’s VIP guests – is the fantastic prize on offer to one worthy recipient.
All you have to do to nominate someone is simply post a picture of them on England Boxing’s Twitter, Facebook or Instagram accounts and explain in the text what they do on a regular basis to merit a special thank you, remembering to include the event’s official hashtag #EBNAC19.
It could be a coach who goes that extra mile, a boxer who defies tough personal circumstances, a parent who makes the teas and coffees and gives the lifts, or a volunteer who has helped renovate the gym. The choice is yours.
You are welcome to nominate someone under the age of 18, but please note that they must be accompanied by at least one adult who will take responsibility for them at the event, should they win, and you should obtain permission from the relevant parent or guardian to post a picture.
Please also ensure that you follow or like the England Boxing account you post from, so that you can be contacted if your entry is the winning one.
Closing date for entries is Sunday 7th April, giving England Boxing the opportunity to contact the winner and give them plenty of notice.
The winner will be chosen by the England Boxing Championships sub-committee, whose decision is final, and by entering the competition you accept this.
Winners must be available to attend the Finals Day in Manchester on Saturday 13th April. No costs towards travel or accommodation will be paid.
The England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2019 promises to be an explosive day of action, with the cream of the country’s adult boxing talent vying to win a national champion’s belt.
Past winners of the prestigious event, that dates back to 1881, include Henry Cooper, Frank Bruno, Nigel Benn, Ricky Hatton, Tony Bellew, James DeGale, Luke Campbell, Anthony Agogo, Tyson Fury, George Groves and Anthony Joshua.
Details of how you can secure tickets to attend as a spectator will be released shortly.
