U15 European Championships Team Announced

England Boxing is delighted to reveal the 14-strong squad selected for the upcoming U15 European Championships in Trabzon, Türkiye, from 17th – 27th October 2026.

The line-up features nine male and five female boxers, all of whom have recently joined the England Boxing Performance Pathway and will take to the ring at the Beşirli Sports Venue.

The young team will be looking to continue England’s proud tradition on the European stage, with the squad including the likes of Shane Fury (nephew of Tyson Fury), Lola Hatton (niece of Ricky Hatton) and Solomon Dubois (brother of Daniel Dubois).

The draw will take place on 16th October, before the boxing gets underway on 17th October. With no scheduled rest days, it promises to be a busy and exciting championships for England’s young boxers.

Speaking on being selected, Mileigh Addicott of Western Warriors said: “It feels very good, I never thought I’d be able to do something like this. I’ve learnt so much during the preparation for this too, my movement has gotten a lot better and I’d say I’m overall a lot more confident now.

My mum wasn’t going to tell me at first that I’d made the team, she was waiting to let me know at my club – but she rang me earlier instead and I couldn’t stop crying, I couldn’t believe it. I was so happy I had gotten picked.

I’m in the gym six times a week, sometimes three sessions a day, I solely focus on boxing so to be chosen means so much to me and I’m aiming to get gold. I look up to Tiah-Mai Ayton from my gym, what she’s achieved inspires me a lot and I just want to be like her.”

Samuel Smith of Newham Boys ABC also commented: “I’m very excited to get out there now and try some new moves, my training has gone really good in the lead up to this. I’d love to win not only the competition but best boxer too – I want to do the best I can out there.

I previously fought at 4 Nations in Glasgow so it will be good to see how this tournament compares. I have a fight day ritual which I’ll be sticking to – I always have to have a bottle of coca cola and wear my lucky wristband, which has worked for me so far!”
