England Boxing are setting up a series of on-line boxing female-only sessions to celebrate International Women’s Day (Monday 8th March).

Three separate sessions will run for boxers, coaches and officials.

Practical sessions for boxers

The practical boxers’ sessions will run on Monday and be split into two parts – one for Schools or Juniors age (all born in 2005 and younger) and another for Youth and Elite (all born in 2004 or older) to link up and join in.

Links are:

5pm – School and Junior female boxers.

7pm –  Youth and Elite female boxers.

Boxers will need to join the meeting already warmed up and have the camera set up with space around them in order to take part.

Sessions will be delivered by England Boxing Talent Development Coach Amanda Coulson and Talent Pathway Coach Laura Sargeant.

The session is scheduled for 40 minutes, with 30 minutes of activity followed by a cool down and Q&A opportunity.

‘A great chance to explore virtual connections’

Talent Development Coach Amanda Coulson said: “We feel that with Monday 8th March being International Women’s Day, it is a great opportunity for us to explore some virtual connections with our female boxing members to generate a sense of community and boost motivation levels.

“We are really looking forward to seeing how much engagement we have in these sessions and will look to explore different options moving forward via a virtual platform, if the demand is there.”
