England Boxing is pleased to announce that we will be taking applications for this year’s Female Coach Development Programme from today (8th March).

Under the slightly new title of Women’s Coach Development Programme, this year will see an additional two places added to take the total of the cohort to 12 coaches.

What the Women’s Coach Development Programme entails

The 12-month project will help to support female coaches (who must have passed their England Boxing Level 1 coaching course as a minimum) in their coaching development.

Initial virtual sessions will be followed up by face-to-face group interactions.

An Individual Development Plan will form the conversations and directions of what each coach requires as their key areas for development.

A mentor will be assigned to offer support and guidance along the way for each of the coaches who are enrolled on the programme.

Any practical elements will be delivered via one of two residential/day sessions (tbc), plus invitations to shadow at England TDCs and attend the Women’s Aspire session.

There will be an individual review on completion of the 12 months to explore further areas for each coach to take ownership and continue their development beyond the programme.

How to apply

You can apply for a place with a short video stating:

  • Name, club and region
  • Coaching level
  • Which area of your coaching you would like to develop and why?
  • Why you want to be involved in the programme?

Send your application information to Laura Sargeant via WhatsApp to 07515 333032 or email  laura.sargeant@englandboxing.org
