England team set for Wales trip

The England Boxing team to face Wales in a duel this weekend has been named.

Boxing will take place at Schools, Junior and Youth level in Cardiff on Friday (23rd August) and Saturday (24th August).

Bouts will be staged at the Sport Wales, starting at 12noon each day.

England team

37-38kg – Quie Coleman (Rourkey’s, Yorkshire, Schools, pictured above); 40-41kg – Luke Rodda (Repton, London, Schools); 37-38kg – David Adams (Phil Thomas, Tyne, Tees & Wear, Junior); 40-41kg – Edward Smith (Hoddesdon, Home Counties, Junior); 46-47kg – Alfie Hedges (Pinewood, Home Counties, Junior); 48-49kg – Ellis Clifton (Priory Park, West Midlands, Junior); 48-49kg – Alby Hill (Chadwell St Mary’s, Eastern Counties, Junior); 49-50kg – Shaun Huddart (Birtley, Tyne, Tees & Wear, Junior); 50-51kg – Nelson Birchall (Sharpstyle, North West, Junior); 51-52kg – Muhammed Ali (Earl Shilton, East Midlands, Junior);  52-53kg – Jack McLoughlin (Waterside, Southern Counties, Junior); 57-58kg – Andra Manning (Phil Thomas, Tyne, Tees & Wear, Junior, pictured below); 60-61kg – Pa Doherty (Chadwell St Mary’s, Eastern Counties, Junior); 66-67kg – Mark Benham (Blandford, Southern Counties, Junior); 60-61kg – Jay Turner (Hall Green, Midlands, Youth);  57-58kg – Shassen Dutton (Sailsbury, Merseyside & Cheshire).

The coaching team will consist of lead coach Amanda Coulson, Q Shillingford, Adam Haniver, Adrian Clarke and Ian Harrison.
