England Boxing’s Coach Educators came together at Tamworth Boxing Club over the weekend for a day of workshops and Continued Professional Development (CPD).

With educators travelling from across the country, the event offered a valuable chance to reconnect, share ideas and learn from one another, helping strengthen the support provided to clubs and coaches nationwide.

The programme featured a variety of themed sessions designed to support both personal growth and practical delivery. The day opened with England Boxing’s Head of Compliance, Anthony Sheppard, leading an important and insightful Bystander Training workshop, before Nick Griffin delivered the KO Discrimination Course Pilot, encouraging open discussion and reflection.

Club and Community Manager (South), Richard Powers, also guided the group through workshops focused on delivering both the Parkinson’s Course and the Activator Course, providing hands-on learning and best-practice approaches to take back into clubs and schools.

The cohort also took time to discuss updates to the Level 1 Coaching Course refresh, ensuring the qualification continues to meet the needs of today’s coaches and the communities they serve.

Speaking afterwards, Laura Sargeant said: “It’s always great to bring everyone together. We’re usually out working across different regions, so having the time to share ideas, learn from each other and connect as a team is really valuable. It helps us all develop and better support the coaches and clubs we work with.”
