England Boxing statement regarding skills bouts

Dear England Boxing Members,

Further to our communication yesterday (14th January 2020) regarding skills bouts, the rule changes that were agreed were aimed at addressing issues that have been reported to us in terms of delivery of the skills bouts, particularly those on open shows.

However, following feedback from members and a number of points being raised, it’s become apparent that further consultation is required on the skills bout rule changes.

As a result, a review and further consultation will now be undertaken. Therefore, there will be no changes to the current skills bout rules before 1^st June 2020, when the new season begins.

Once the review is completed, we will provide further information.
