England Boxing would like to join the rest of the sporting community in extending its condolences to members of the Royal Family following the death of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, at the age of 99.

Among his support of many sports, the Prince served as Patron of the Amateur Boxing Association (ABA).

In 1956, the Prince founded the award scheme which bears his name and a number of boxing clubs have since become involved in it.
