October 6, 2023 | by Nabillah Akhtar
There are just five spaces left on the Level 3 Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) Programme for boxers of England Boxing affiliated clubs.
The boxing qualification officially endorsed by England Boxing is designed to nurture promising and dedicated young athletes with the genuine potential to excel in their sport. This program operates across six hubs located throughout the country.
DiSE provides young boxers aged 16 to 19 with the opportunity to engage in full-time boxing training while simultaneously pursuing full-time academic studies to acquire qualifications that will be valuable beyond their boxing careers. It can be studies over two years alongside your school or college’s main study programme and is delivered by highly qualified and experienced England Boxing coaches.
By offering 64 UCAS points, it seamlessly integrates boxing with full-time education, ensuring that participants develop the skills, knowledge, and competence necessary to pursue sporting excellence while also preparing for their future careers.
Since it began in 2010, the DiSE program has seen several boxers represent their nation on the international stage, transition into professional boxing careers, or advance their education and secure degrees to enter the workforce.
Many now work in the sports sector as personal trainers, gym instructors and also as boxing coaches.
