Youth Championships 2022: Spectator info
February 8, 2022 | by Matt Halfpenny
The England Boxing National Youth Championships 2022 heads for Yorkshire’s Barnsley Metrodome this weekend Friday 11th to Sunday 13th February – and you can be there to watch it.
Some of the best young female and male boxers in the country will battle it out in the bid to claim coveted title belts (Youth Open) or gold medal (Youth Cadets).
Members of the public are welcome to attend, with the action starting at 1pm (12noon doors) on Friday and 12noon (11am doors) on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are available to purchase on the day only. Prices are £20 per adult, £10 per concession (over 65), £5 per child (six to 15-year-olds) and free for those five and under. Please note it is cash only and no £50 notes will be accepted.
Please stay seated
Once in the arena, spectators are reminded that they must remain seated at all times and not stand up against the ring barriers.
Should spectators stand, boxing will be stopped and will not continue until everyone is sat down. Please adhere to this instruction, not just out of respect for others, but also for everyone’s health and safety.
Parking and filming
Parking at the venue is extremely limited, particularly on the Saturday, when Barnsley FC will be playing at home nearby.
Please ensure that you leave plenty of time to find alternative parking nearby if the venue car park is full.
The venue postcode is S71 1AN.
An England Boxing photographer and videographer, as well as live streaming, will be capturing footage on both days of the event that may include capturing images of spectators. By attending as a spectator, you agree this imagery can be used by England Boxing and other media outlets.
