England Boxing is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Community Apprentice, based in Liverpool.

As a Community Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in delivering community-focused events in collaboration with England Boxing-affiliated clubs. You’ll also help to develop pathways that turn initial interest in boxing into long-term participation, particularly in underrepresented areas.

The apprenticeship also includes the completion of a Community Sport and Health Officer (Level 3) qualification, provided through our partnership with Lifetime Training and Coach Core.

This opportunity has been made possible following the successful bid by England Boxing, GB Boxing, Liverpool City Council, the National Lottery and UK Sport to host the World Boxing Championships, taking place 4th–14th September 2025 at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena.

As part of your role, you will also:

  • Assist the Regional Club Support Officer to plan a series of engagement events and club development activities to harness the interest in the sport as a result of the World Boxing championships.
  • Support the recruitment, retention, and development of volunteers in order to effectively develop and deliver boxing within communities.
  • Help the Project Manager and Club Support Officer with the delivery of the World Boxing Championships social impact plan.

The position will be home-based in Liverpool, with access to a hot desk at a local host club or partner organisation.

If you’re enthusiastic about community sport, passionate about making a difference, and eager to be part of a world-class event’s legacy, we’d love to hear from you.

Applications close: Sunday 8th  June 2025 by Midnight.
