All 14 Team England boxers now know their route to Commonwealth Games glory after the official draw for Glasgow 2026 took place on Wednesday, 22nd July.

Four England athletes will be in action on the opening day of competition at Glasgow’s SEC Arena, with the remaining 10 making their tournament debuts between Monday 27th and Wednesday 29th.

The draw sees England’s boxers matched against opponents from across the Commonwealth, including Kenya, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and Ghana, setting the stage for an exciting opening to the tournament.

Lauren Mackie will have the honour of opening Team England’s campaign when she faces Kenya’s Amina Faki in the very first bout of the Games, scheduled to begin at 11am.

Just 30 minutes later, Ellis Trowbridge takes to the ring, where he will meet Ricksen Nomleas of Vanuatu.

The evening session sees Lucy Kings-Wheatley begin her Commonwealth Games journey against Papua New Guinea’s Petronella Nokenoke at 6.15pm, before Patris Mughalzai rounds off England’s opening day against Ghana’s Abdul Omar at 7.45pm.

Victory for any of the opening-day quartet would see them return to the ring before several of their teammates begin their campaigns later in the week.
