April 11, 2019 | by Matt Halfpenny

Welcome to the spectator guide for the England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2019 Finals Day being held at Manchester Central, Windmill Street, Manchester M2 3GX on Saturday 13th April.

Advanced tickets via Ticketmaster are now closed, but you are welcome to pay on the day to watch the boxing (doors open at 1pm). Tickets are priced at £25 adults, £15 concessions (65+) and £10 children (6 to 15-year-olds). Under 5s are free.

The price includes two sessions of boxing, featuring 20 bouts in total (11 male and nine female) at weights ranging from Under 48kg to Over 91kg.

All spectators must keep their tickets with them at all times while at the venue.

The first session will take place between 2pm and 5.20pm, with a break between bout 10 and 11. The second session will begin at 6pm and finish at 9.20pm.

Pre-paid ticket collection

If you have purchased tickets online through Ticketmaster, you can collect them at the ticket desk on arrival by showing a valid receipt and ID. Tickets cannot be given out unless proof of purchase and ID is shown first.

Venue pass-out and re-entry

You can leave the venue and gain readmission but, in order to do so, you must first collect a pass-out wristband from a member of event staff. You will only be readmitted if you show both your wristband AND ticket.

Getting to the venue

If you are driving, the postcode of Manchester Central is M2 3GX.

The venue is well serviced by Metrolink trams and Piccadilly (20 minutes’ walk, five minutes in a taxi) and Victoria Railway Stations are relatively close by. Alternatively, you can catch a connecting train to Oxford Road Station – just five minutes from Manchester Central on foot.

There are a number of car parks around the venue, including one underneath Manchester Central, but they can be expensive. If you are prepared to walk a little, cheaper car parks are situated a few minutes’ walk away at the bottom end of Deansgate.

A souvenir programme for the England Boxing National Amateur Championships 2019 Finals Day at Manchester Central has been produced.

The publication features a welcome from England Boxing Chairman Caspar Hobbs and an article on some of the great boxing that has taken place in Manchester involving former senior amateur champions.

Also included is a full bout list, featuring the time of each bout, plus each boxer’s picture, as well as club and weight details.

The programme is priced at £2 and will be available from the venue once doors open at 1pm.

You can view the bout list in the programme (see above) and you can download an online version here.
