The Five Pillars Coaching Project rolls into its fifth cohort, with applications now open to coaches in the Yorkshire region.

The purpose of the project is to bring club boxing and the England Performance Pathway closer together, underpinned by the BADST coaching framework at the heart of the Performance Programme and will be delivered by National Coach Mick Maguire alongside John Hodkinson.

BADST, which stands for Before, After, Distance, Space and Tempo, provides coaches with a consistent technical and tactical language to apply when developing athletes.

Those taking part in the programme will benefit from a series of intensive residential camps and one-to-one sessions, before showcasing their knowledge through video analysis and practical application with athletes.

The opportunity is open to 14 coaches who:

  • Hold a Level Two coaching qualification
  • Have at least 18 months of coaching experience
  • They are based within the Yorkshire region.

Key Notes:

  • The programme is fully funded – covering accommodation and food expenses.
  • Closing date: Thursday, 5th March 2026.
  • Applicants informed by Monday, 9th March 2026.
  • Online introductions to take place on Thursday, 19th March 2026.
