In all instances where there is a safeguarding concern about a child or adult at risk, whether it concerns an England Boxing member or is in an England Boxing environment, these concerns must be reported as soon as possible to a Club Welfare Officer (CWO) or Regional Welfare Officer (RWO) and then to England Boxing’s Compliance Team.
Please remember – It is not the responsibility of England Boxing staff or volunteers to decide whether or not abuse has taken place, but it is their responsibility to pass on concerns as quickly as possible to the appropriate people.
All safeguarding referrals to statutory agencies are to be managed by England Boxing, with CWOs and RWOs providing support in the raising of concerns to EB.
All safeguarding concerns are treated with confidentiality. Information is only shared where it is necessary, proportionate and relevant, and is shared only with those individuals who need to have it.
You can report a safeguarding concern to England Boxing via the following methods:
- S07 – Safeguarding Referral Form Online Form (MS Forms) | Accessible Version (Word)
- Email safeguarding@englandboxing.org or call 07590 600 001
If you have immediate concerns about the safety or wellbeing of any individual, and cannot contact your CWO, RWO or England Boxing, please contact the Emergency Services, your local Social Services, or the NSPCC child protection helpline on 0808 800 500
