WE ARE ENGLAND BOXING
Want to get involved?
With more than 1,000 member clubs across the country, the easiest way to get started is by finding your local club using our Club Finder below.
Whether you want to train for fitness or step into the ring and compete, your club will introduce you to the basics in a safe and supportive environment.
Boxing is also a fantastic way to stay fit – a heavy bag session can burn between 354-558 calories an hour, while a full hour of sparring in the ring can burn around 748 calories.
And you don’t even need to put on a headguard to get involved. From coaching to officiating or volunteering, there are plenty of ways to be part of the boxing community.
Boxing is for all.
Boxing is one of the most diverse sports in the world — open to everyone, regardless of background, race, religion or age. Boxing is for all.
From acclaimed Parkinson’s boxing classes in partnership with Parkinson’s UK, to the mental health–focused Box to Beat It programme with Mind, the sport is continually working to improve people’s mental and physical wellbeing.
Our EB Inclusion Clubs support individuals living with a range of challenges, while many member clubs provide alternative pathways for young people struggling in school. Others deliver knife crime prevention initiatives that make a real impact in their communities.
The EB Veterans Project also provides ex-service members with a safe space to connect, train and improve their wellbeing alongside fellow veterans.
The journey of an Olympian
Not everyone who steps through the ropes will reach the very top – but for a dedicated few, the ultimate stage awaits: the Olympic Games.
Chantelle Reid was just 13 when she swapped kickboxing for boxing in pursuit of that dream. Starting at Allenton Boxing Academy before moving to Kode Red with her father, she went on to win European and World medals for England – and fulfilled her Olympic dream with GB Boxing and Team GB at Paris 2024.
Her advice to anyone thinking of trying boxing? “Go for it and enjoy it. Be patient and trust the process.”
For Chantelle, boxing has been life-changing – bringing discipline, confidence and the drive to achieve her goals. Now, with her sights firmly set on LA 2028, Chantelle’s next stop is the World Boxing Championships 2025 in Liverpool.

Support the Grassroots Amateur Boxing Lottery!
The Grassroots Amateur Boxing Lottery (GRAB) is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for boxing clubs in the UK.
Play GRAB – support the amateur boxing community. It’s that simple!
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 a week and each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000!
The real winners are the boxing clubs. From every £1 ticket sold, 60p will go to them. To put this in perspective, when you play the National Lottery 25% goes to boxing clubs – we’ve more than doubled this ticket percentage.
Even better, you can choose which club gets 40p of the 60p (the remaining 20p will be distributed to other local boxing clubs). Click here to explore GRAB.
